It is the destruction of rodents which are a srouce of infection and spread it. The most dangerous rodents are house and field mice, grey and brown rats, gophers, water-rats and others from the point of epidemiology. This time both preventive works are conducted and they are killed. The foodstuffs are hygienically put in such a place for preventive purposes that the same rodents can not enter there. The rodents are killed by the biological, chemical and mechanical methods.
The biological method is the use of their enemies like cats, dogs and others. But the mechanical method is the use of traps.
They use different poisons, sulphur anhydrides and others in the chemical method.
Besides it, the deceptve feeding stuffs (cricide, Warfarin, difenasin, ratindan, barium carbonate, zinc phosphide, tiosemicarbacide, arsen drugs) are used. While making them, bread, porridge, dough, vegetable, corn and others are added. They are also added sunflower oil and minced meat for attracting the rodents. The poisonous deceptive feeding stuffs must be prepared and used bu the specially trained staff of the sanitary and epidemiological station.
